Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have 3 years of progressive experience and/or previous employment overseeing an operation with program planning, workforce management, and resource protection. Knowledge of the basic principles, procedures, and practices of operating a comprehensive community recreation program is required. Must have knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures relating to various recreation activities. Must have skills in preparing forms, schedules, and reports related to the obligation and expenditure of funds. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Knowledge of office automation software (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) is required. Must be able to obtain a government purchase card within 90 days of employment. Must possess a valid SOFA license. Successful completion and favorable adjudication of background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment and random testing for drug use. Will be required to work uncommon tours of duty to include evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to support programming.
