Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Minimum age requirement is 17. Must have experience in teaching or instructing a group or class. Experience which provides practical knowledge of instructional and development teaching methods, swimming activities, rules, and procedures and skill in the use and maintenance of various pool and safety equipment is highly desirable. CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must have current Red Cross Lifeguard; First Aid, CPR, and AED Certificate and Water Safety Instructor Course. Current Fundamentals of Instructor Training Certificate or equivalent is highly desirable.
