About the position: This position will be assigned to the Eglin Outdoor Recreation. This is a NAF (Non-Appropriated Fund) position assigned to the 96th Force Support Squadron at Eglin AFB Florida. Position is Regular Full-time (RFT) guaranteed 35-40 hours per week and schedule tour of duty may include nights, weekends and holidays. Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, Spouse/Widow/Parent of Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have responsible experience which provided a working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs. Must have specialized experience working in an Outdoor Recreation activity to include knowledge of equipment, rules and procedures in the area supervised. Experience in outdoor adventure program is highly desirable. Must have knowledge of federal, state and local safety regulations, e.g., boater and camper safety. Certifications in Wilderness First Responder, Leave No Trace, and American Canoe Association are desirable. Must have previous supervisory experience. Must be proficient in computer word processing software and use of office equipment. Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift items weighing up 40 pounds.
