Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures is desirable. Ability to safeguard and handle cash, basic knowledge of computers and Point of Sales/cash registers is highly desirable. Skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities is highly desirable. Must present a neat and clean appearance. Experience with customer service skills in dealing with the public and the ability to exercise tact and professionalism is highly desirable. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive, Calendar, and Maps is highly desirable. May be required to move, handle, lift, etc. tables, chairs, and other equipment and furnishings (up to 50 pounds in weight) in support of Community Center and private or official sponsored events.
