Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Have a minimum of two years of progressive experience, which provides a thorough knowledge of all duties described above. Verifiable experience in special events planning, or other closely related professions such as in Community Recreation or Hospitality. Have the knowledge of theories, practices, techniques of business practices and concepts as related to special events/ entertainment programs. Knowledge of current trends in music, theater, and the overall entertainment industry, sufficient to ensure audience enjoyment of selected programs. Have experience with the MS Office: Windows, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. Other desktop publishing software and skill in the use of the Internet is desired. Ability to communicate orally and in writing and be able to read, comprehend, and speak English. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
