Job Description

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have experience driving and performing repairs and maintenance on farm equipment including but not limited to tractors with various implements, skid steer, trucks, and trailers. Ability to follow simple written or oral instructions with minor supervision. Basic computer experience preferred. Certification in tractor/vehicle/equipment repair and maintenance preferred. A valid driver's license is required. Must have the ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner. Must provide a copy of driving record. Occasional climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 75 pounds. Work is performed inside and outside. Subject to the elements of weather such as exposure to sun, wind, dust, soils, rain and snow, and hazards of equipment, contagious diseases, and horse related injuries such as exposure to bites, scratches, kicks and animal waste. Operation of tractors and equipment may be performed on rough terrain and open pastures, that may produce rough, jolting rides and may require manipulation of equipment in and around fenced areas. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. A pre-employment physical is required.
