Job Description

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience demonstrating practical knowledge of Outdoor Recreation operations, including hands-on familiarity with recreational equipment, activity areas, and customer service. Must have experience assisting with the development and execution of group activities or programs that appeal to diverse age groups and interests, along with working knowledge of the recreational facilities and services offered. Ability to provide task guidance to junior staff and deliver excellent customer service. Skill in spoken and written communication and in resolving routine customer issues. Experience with cash handling, making change, and following established cash control procedures. Ability to use computer systems for reservations, inventory tracking, and basic administrative tasks. Must possess a valid state driver's license and be able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs. Must be able to obtain, and maintain, certification in CPR and First Aid. Position of Trust. Outside work in all types of weather conditions required. Condition(s) of Employment: Satisfactorily complete pre-employment physical is required due to heavy lifting/carrying requirements of up to 50 pounds and physical efforts of the position. Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required.
