You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Specialized experience in a library providing knowledge of library rules, policies, and procedures for circulation and technical service. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Experience or training demonstrating the ability to perform computer processing. Experience in a library providing general knowledge of standard library rules, policies, and procedures in technical services. Typing experience is required. Physical exertion such as long periods of standing, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, and reaching. Pushing loaded book trucks. Recurring lifting of moderately heavy items (up to 40 pounds). Ability to reach up to 72 inches with or without a step stool. Skill in applying standard customer service practices when dealing with the public.
