Job Summary
About the position: This position will be assigned to the 92 Force Support Squadron, Aquatics Center, Fairchild AFB, WA. The primary purpose of this position is to observes swimming area to ensure safety of patrons. This is a Flexible position; guaranteed 0 hours, may work up to 40 hours/ week; depending on the facility needs. Applications will be reviewed for consideration every other Monday after Opening Date. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have or be able to obtain within 90 days of employment an approved and current nationally recognized certification in lifesaving and water rescue methods and skills, as well as basic first aid training, and CPR (both child and adult) training. For coastal lifeguards: In addition to the above, must also have surf rescue techniques training. Must have experience which provides a practical knowledge of swimming activities, rules and procedures and skill in the use and maintenance of various pool and safety equipment is desirable.
