Job Summary

This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Capital Access in Birmingham, AL, Herndon, VA, El Paso, TX, Citrus Heights, CA, Fresno, CA and Santa Ana, CA. The incumbent(s) serves as a Loan Specialist and is responsible for evaluating loan applications for program eligibility and creditworthiness requiring experience with business structures and financial statement analysis.

Job Description

GS-12: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: Underwriting and/or determining cash flow and repayment ability for commercial and business loans; and Servicing and liquidating collateral and assets for all types of loans; and Providing extensive financial counseling and guidance to customers related to loan terms and payments; and Monitoring and providing oversight to a variety of liquidation actions; and Providing guidance to less senior loan specialists and loan servicing assistants in the performance of their duties.
