Job Description

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions. In addition to the basic requirements above, all applicants must meet the qualification requirements below: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the Computer Scientist, PG-1550-13, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-12 level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in other pay systems that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: 1). Designing, implementing, and securing Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled application environments, including integrating automated security testing into CI/CD pipelines; protecting AI training data and model artifacts; testing for AI-specific vulnerabilities and adversarial threats; securing AI infrastructure; and implementing continuous monitoring and auditing of AI models and workloads. 2). Designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise cybersecurity and application security processes, including vulnerability management, security testing, risk mitigation, incident response, security controls, secure application development, and compliance with applicable Federal information security standards and frameworks. 3). Designing, implementing, and supporting DevSecOps and CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps or comparable technologies, including automated build, testing, security scanning, software composition analysis, deployment, infrastructure configuration, and operational processes that support secure, reliable, and maintainable enterprise applications.
