Job Description

To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Advising management officials on recruitment, staffing, and placement programs including interpreting and applying special appointing authorities and merit system accountability requirements; Utilizing classifications standards to classify a variety of general schedule and wage schedule occupations, and determine job titles, series and pay grades; Guiding hiring managers through job analyses, defining assessment criteria, and explaining staffing guidelines; Drafting clear, concise documents, such as correspondence, vacancy announcements, or position descriptions. To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Serving as a senior advisor on complex recruitment, staffing and placement programs; Managing high-visibility, or sensitive hiring actions and ensuring regulatory compliance; Utilizing classification standards to classify mixed-grade work, controversial situations and cases lacking clear precedents; Persuading managers and employee representatives to accept and implement difficult HR recommendations, and negotiating mutually acceptable solutions; Drafting comprehensive technical documents, such as proposed agency HR policies or formal fact-finding/investigative reports.
