Federal experience is not required. Experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or through Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-12: To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Providing executive-level staff support to senior executives, organizational leadership, elected officials, or other senior decision-makers involving sensitive, confidential, or high-profile matters. Coordinating executive correspondence, briefing materials, executive taskings, controlled communications, action tracking systems, leadership clearance processes, or similar executive support activities to ensure timely and accurate completion of assignments. Researching, analyzing, and summarizing information from multiple sources to prepare briefing papers, executive summaries, memoranda, reports, presentations, talking points, correspondence, and other executive-level written products. Serving as a primary point of contact for executives or organizational leadership by coordinating meetings, managing executive calendars, travel, meeting logistics, follow-up actions, and communications while coordinating with executives, congressional staff, government officials, program offices, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and support executive decision-making. Monitoring, coordinating, and tracking multiple high-priority assignments involving competing deadlines, sensitive issues, and significant executive interest while exercising sound judgment, attention to detail, discretion, and minimal supervision. Developing, implementing, or improving office procedures, workflow processes, records management practices, correspondence tracking systems, scheduling processes, budget tracking, procurement activities, and other administrative operations to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Communicating professionally, both orally and in writing, with executives, managers, employees, external organizations, and members of the public while maintaining confidentiality, applying strong analytical and organizational skills, recommending solutions, and ensuring successful completion of complex administrative and executive assignments. Qualifying experience may have been gained through executive support, legislative affairs, congressional operations, legal administration, executive correspondence, project coordination, regulatory affairs, government relations, program management, or related fields requiring independent judgment, organizational skill, and the ability to manage sensitive executive-level work. AND You must also meet the following requirements: MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: Minimum age for federal employment is 18 years old, or at least 16 years old and have: Graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; or Completed a formal vocational training program; or Received a statement from school authorities agreeing with your preference for employment rather than continuing your education.
