Job Description

To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Operational knowledge of military-specific promotion mechanisms (e.g., Service-Wide Exams (SWE), performance evaluation factors, sea-service points, High Year Tenure (HYT), and billet-based advancement structures). Familiarity - either through experience or education - with the behavioral economics and sociology of organizational promotion systems (e.g., Tournament Theory, Equity Theory, and competency-based assessment design). Exposure to or deep understanding of the enlisted career lifecycle, including the cultural differences between ratings/NECs/MOSs, the non-commissioned officer (NCO/PO) corps structure, and career pain points. Ability to develop cooperative work relationships across organizational boundaries and competing priorities.
