Job Summary

This vacancy is for a GS-0201-13, Human Resources Specialist (Information Systems) located in the Office of Workforce Systems and Capabilities (CG-WMR-1), U.S. Coast Guard Coast Guard and is the sole Coast Guard advisor to the Director and Deputy Director, Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), located in Seaside, California.

Job Description

To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Advanced Pay and Benefits Principles - Working with advanced pay and benefits principles, concepts, regulations and practices, as well as analytical methods and techniques and consultative skills. Systems Analytics - Working with systems analysis and design specialty to serve as a technical authority on a wide range of technology and applications. HR Info Systems - Understanding field work processes, data models, work process rules, file/database designs, and operating procedures of to serve as a technical expert providing leadership and technical guidance to a group of professionals performing analysis of applications systems. Data Automation - Working with a wide range of state-of-the-art data automation practices and technology to advise on alternative approaches for application system development and/or to resolve critical problems. System Programming - Serving as the technical authority and functional authority supporting projects which include evaluation of newly developed approaches used to formulate programming or systems specifications.
