Job Description

To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Assisting with maintaining and updating personnel data, conducting routine audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance. Assisting with the planning and coordination of board operations; preparing and reviewing board materials for completeness and accuracy; and applying established laws, regulations, and policies governing officer accessions, promotions, and assignments. Assisting with extracting and reviewing data from personnel systems and databases to identify patterns, discrepancies, and performance trends affecting HR operations. Identifying discrepancies, or missing documentation, applying established procedures to routine eligibility issues, and coordinating with applicants or stakeholders to obtain required information. Assisting in the coordination of officer accession, training, and assignment processes by communicating with internal and external stakeholders to exchange information, resolve routine issues, and ensure timely processing of personnel actions. OR Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education or possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR A combination of specialized experience and graduate education described above. NOTE: Education can be substituted for experience at the GS-11 grade level. To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Managing, auditing, and maintaining complex personnel data systems to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance. Planning and coordinating all phases of selection board operations; interpreting and applying applicable laws, regulations, and policies governing officer accessions, promotions, and assignments. Analyzing complex personnel records, validating eligibility and supporting documentation, and ensuring alignment with applicable laws and regulations. Independently reviewing complex records, verifying qualifications, and determining eligibility in accordance with laws, policies, and accession or promotion guidelines. Analyzing program requirements, identifying operational issues, and recommending solutions to improve accession effectiveness, compliance, and alignment with mission objectives. NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.
