Job Description
To qualify at the GS-07 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Identifying discrepancies, initiating corrective actions, and coordinating with servicing personnel offices to resolve errors impacting service member records. Preparing and finalizing the Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) for archive events within the Interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System (iPERMS), ensuring records are correctly indexed, organized, and ready for permanent storage. Serving as the first point of contact for military personnel-related inquiries, responding to a high volume of telephone and email requests from service members, commands, and external stakeholders. Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of scanned military personnel records in support of multiple promotion boards and selection panels conducted throughout the year. Reviewing records in advance of promotion boards and selection panels to ensure all required documents are present, accurate, and compliant with governing policies.
