Basic Requirements: This position has a positive Education Requirement in addition to at least one year of Specialized Experience or substitution of education for experience or combination (if applicable) in order to be found minimally qualified. You MUST meet the following requirements: EDUCATION: Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education(external link) at the time the degree was obtained. AND To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Health Program Management and Advocacy - Serving as the program manager and as a senior advisor/subject matter expert on health promotion concepts encompassing the assets of educational, environmental, and medical support services enabling the program users to increase control over, and improving their quality of life, health, wellness, and well-being. Health Presentations - Developing and providing reports, narrative presentations, fact sheets, information papers, action memorandums, statistical graphs, charts, and research publications when necessary, displaying and presenting them to senior staff members, other federal and national Health Promotion program managers, and other entities as deemed appropriate. Policy Interpretation and Enforcement - Reviewing and interpreting new directives and instructions, assessing their policy/operational impacts and developing and supporting necessary recommendations for policy changes Health Technical Guidance - Providing technical guidance regarding Health Promotion Program implementation, administration, evaluation, and modification, in accordance with all governing laws, policies, and guidance NOTE: All experience statements (i.e., duties, specialized experience, or related applicable assessment) copied from this announcement and pasted into your resume will not be considered as a demonstration of your qualifications for this position.
