Job Description

Applicants will be rated and ranked based on their knowledge of the following job elements: To qualify for the Marine Machinery Mechanic Leader, WL-5334-10, applicants must meet the following screen-out job element to be considered for this position: Job Element #73: Ability To Lead or Supervise (Screen-out Element) to be considered eligible for the position. To meet the screen-out examples of the duties includes: Ability to Lead or Supervise (SCREEN OUT ELEMENT) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc (includes blueprint reading) Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Materials Troubleshooting National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
