Job Description
To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Experience with purpose, time, and amount (appropriations law) determinations when reviewing purchase requests. Experience in determining appropriate use of funds per agency (or previous agency) policy. OR Completed 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education OR Possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Experience with purpose, time, and amount (appropriations law) determinations when reviewing purchase requests. Experience with budget formulation using historic data, forecasting, and spend plan analysis. Knowledge of the budgetary policies, regulations, and guidelines of the agency and the sources, types, and methods of funding for organizations and programs; and budgetary and financial relationships between the assigned budget and budgets and programs of other agency components and organizations. Knowledge of automated financial management systems used by the organization to monitor funds and analyze financial data and skill in extrapolating information from these systems to prepare reports for substantive programs.
