Job Summary
This position is assigned to the Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) Financial Management Branch (N948); Fleet and Family Readiness Support Services (FFRSS) (N94); Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC); Millington, TN. Incumbent serves as the Accounting Officer over the NAF Accounting Section responsible for overall management of the production of financial reports, developing changes and modification to the Navy Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) NAF accounting system and procedures.
Job Description

A qualified candidate possesses the following: A minimum of five years of specialized experience with professional accounting, specifically related to financial reporting, accounting system management and/or procedural development. Knowledge of SAP and ADP. Knowledge of various accounting principles, theories, concepts, and practices. Ability to analyze, identify, and resolve technical issues, problems, or shortfalls associated with work performed within the section. Knowledge of processes related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, TOPS, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Travel NAF Purchase Card, Payroll, MTP, and IT Services Fund. Knowledge of program management principles (e.g., planning, implementing, risk management, tracking, progress reporting). Knowledge of CNIC organizational structure and mission(s) of organizations. Knowledge of CNIC's EEO policy and procedures. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). Ability to oversee a functionally specific accounting program and provide guidance to staff on program requirements, processes, and procedures. Ability to analyze and prepare clear, concise, and technically sound reports related to work performed within the section. Ability to develop and effectively deliver presentations and/or training. Ability to perform the full-range of supervisory duties. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
