The Laundry Worker provides essential services to the Naval Academy's Brigade of Midshipmen and all other individuals, organizations, and activities that use the NABSD Laundry and Dry-Cleaning Facility. Each worker will be assigned an assortment of tasks (hands on) that are required to process laundry throughout the facility.

Job Description

In order to meet the basic requirement of the Laundry Worker position, NA-7304-02, you must meet the following: Experience performing laundry related duties, which may include, but are not limited to inspecting laundry pieces and determining proper care, using laundry machines and equipment, using chemicals, dying, starching, treating laundry, etc. YOU WILL BE RATED ON THE FOLLOWING KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs) FOR THIS POSITION: 1. Experience sorting, counting, and folding clothing. Experience working in a professional laundry facility preferred. 2. Ability to learn how to operate pressing equipment. Experience operating pressing equipment is preferred. 3. Ability to stand up to three hours at a time, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
