The Smithsonian Institution is the world’s largest museum, education, and research complex, with 21 museums and the National Zoo. This position is located in Cash Management, Accounting Operations, Office of Finance and Accounting (OF&A), Under Secretary for Finance and Administration.

For the GS-9, you qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal Service. For this position, specialized experience is defined as financial forecast preparation; reviewing general ledgers; review and verification of accounting transactions; and resolution of issues related to payment OR A master`s or equivalent graduate degree; OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.B. or J.D., if directly related to the work of the position; OR Combination: Education and experience may be combined to meet the basic qualifications. For this position, specialized experience is defined as financial data analysis; program compliance management; developing recommendations and process updates; and collaborating with banking and financial partners OR A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.M, if directly related to the work of the position; OR Combination: Education and experience may be combined to meet the basic qualifications.
