Job Summary

The Arts and Crafts Center provides a wide variety of services to the base. We host a variety of arts and craft classes for children and adults, to include our "Paint and Sip" nights. Our facility offers crafts made by local crafters like painted Alaska themed wooden bears, saws, Alaska themed items along with crocheted items, and moose shaped planters. Must be 18+ years of age. APPLICATIONS WILL BE PULLED FRIDAYS AT 8:00AM UNTIL POSITION IS FILLED.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience with ceramic molding and painting, painting with other media, fabric crafts, calligraphy and or lettering machines, engraving, glass crafts and mat cutting required. Ability to read, write, spell and figure basic math and measurements. Possess clear speaking voice and be able to deal with the public. May work uncommon work schedule, including weekends. Requires continuous standing, walking and stooping. Subject to metal and wood splinters, adhesives, paint fumes, cuts, burns and bruises. Must be physically able to lift and carry items up to and including 50 pounds.
