Job Summary

This position will be assigned to the Randolph Lodging Facility at Randolph AFB. This is a regular part-time category position with guaranteed 20 hours per week, may work up to 40hrs/week. Employees appointed to regular category positions are eligible for benefits.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have knowledge of woodworking techniques and basic shop mathematics to plan, layout, measure, cut, construct and install materials according to dimensional requirements and specifications where fit and accuracy are written within specified tolerances. Must have knowledge of standard plumbing methods and techniques including flow and drainage. Must have the ability to join and seal elbows, faucets, shower drains, plastic, metal and title pipes, and similar items. Must be able to perform small appliance repairs, etc. Must have ability to read and follow specific directions that explain how to apply and use prepared solvents and how to thin and stir coating materials. Must know how to operate and maintain hand and power tools and equipment such as power drills, saws, brace and bits. Hammers, chisels, wrenches and screwdrivers. Must understand and apply safety regulations and procedures. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): 1. Knowledge of woodworking techniques and basic shop mathematics. 2. Knowledge of standard plumbing methods and techniques. 3. Ability to join and seal elbows, faucets, shower drains, plastic, metal, and title pipes. 4. Ability to perform small appliance repairs. 5. Ability to read and follow specific directions. 6.
