Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience that demonstrates the ability to apply principles, methods, and techniques of planning recreational activities and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups. Specialized: Planning, organizing, coordinating, supervising, instructing or evaluating community, outdoor, institutional, or other skills development programs. Experience demonstrating ability to serve in a leadership role to promote programs and activities of local, regional, and/or national recreational organizations. Education: Undergraduate or graduate major study of general recreation, or one of the appropriate fields of arts and crafts or at least 1 year experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 /NF-III levels. Conditions of Employment: Incumbent must satisfactorily complete a Tier Level 1 background investigation. This is a drug testing designated position.
