About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Auto Hobby Shop at the Barksdale AFB, LA. This is a Regular Full-Time position with 35 guaranteed hours per week. Benefits (medical, dental, life insurance, retirement, 401(k)), and annual/sick leave.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Qualifying Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): Requires experience in the functions managed by an automotive crafts center manager (i.e. automotive maintenance and engine repair; automotive parts resale; car wash facility). Knowledge of makeup, operation and installation of systems and assemblies to troubleshoot and repair. Ability to interpret and apply manufacturer's repair manuals and technical specifications, schematics, diagnostic codes, safety manuals and the ability to operate electronic test equipment. Experience must include responsibility or supervision of the various functions of an auto crafts center operation. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification as a Master Automobile Technician is highly desired. Condition(s) of Employment: Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required.
