Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Possess and maintain DoD approved Information Assurance baseline certification or understand that completion of training and certification must be completed within 6 months of appointment. Knowledge of and experience using the fundamental capabilities and functions of IT network architecture, topology and protocols used in installing and administering network services. Have experience configuring, installing and maintaining network switches, routers, firewalls and servers. Have the ability to communicate clearly when providing technical support to users and must possess the skills necessary to communicate IT-related processes clearly and effectively using both oral and written techniques. Be physically able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 40 lbs. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate a vehicle safely.
