Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Have responsible experience in the overall management of a food service operation which provided a thorough knowledge of food operations, including purchasing and receiving food stuffs and food preparation. Experience have been gained in a restaurant, club, cafeteria or similar establishment to include supervision of subordinate personnel performing cooking and cash handling duties. Have a general knowledge of management principles and practices and knowledge of financial planning principles and procedures. Knowledge of etiquette, military protocol, and an automated food tracking program are desirable. Experience with Aloha Point of Sale (POS) is desirable. Be able to continually stand and walk, frequent stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, and bending. Frequently lifts and moves objects weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted and occasionally lifts or moves objects weighing over 40 pounds with assistance. Be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical and obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler training. Be able to maintain DRAM shop Training. Possess skill in dealing with the public. Be able to read, write and speak English. Be able to workdays, nights, weekends and holidays. Be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
