Job Summary

About the position: This position is located at Resource Management, Information Technology Office, on F.E. Warren AFB, WY This position is considered Regular Part-Time. The position is guaranteed 20 hrs, but has the potential to work up to 40 hrs/week. You may be required to work some nights, weekends and holidays. As a Regular Part-Time employee, you are eligible for leave and benefits; health and life insurance, 401K, and retirement. The starting pay for this position is $26.00/hr.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have specialized experience that provides knowledge of the basic principles, theories, practices, techniques, and terminology of the IT discipline or subject matter field. Must have experience equivalent to that which would have been gained through a 4-year college curriculum. Mandatory minimum of 2 years specialized IT field experience. A 4-year degree in computer science or related field, may be in combination with experience. (Minimum listed above is still mandatory.) Must have a Security+ or A+ Certification, which must be kept current within Air Force regulations. Knowledge of DoD and Air Force automated data processing and networking standards. Ability to apply knowledge of current automation technology and practices to organizational functions. Knowledge of functional computer networks, software, and hardware problems, and develop effective and economical solutions and/or recommendations. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and possess good customer service skills.
