About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to Sam's Fitness Center at the Naval Weapons Station Goose Creek, SC. This is a Regular Full Time position offering annual/sick leave, Health/Dental and Life Insurance, 401K and Retirement.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: 4 year degree in exercise science or related program/education preferred. Must have a personal training certification from an NCCA accredited entity, ie, ACE, ACSM, Coopers, NASM, etc. or be able to obtain certification within 60 days of employment. Must have Adult CPR/First Aid certification or be able to obtain within 60 days of employment. Must possess skills to appropriately address patrons and make positive and well-received suggestions on personal fitness goals and the appropriate methods to achieve them. Must possess sufficient written communication skills to assist with compiling and preparing written documentation and reports. Point of sale/cashier skills desirable. Ability to adapt to various conditions and locales required. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI).
