Job Summary

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Community Center on Ellsworth AFB. This position is considered regular full time. You are guaranteed 35 hours, however, could work up to 40 hours. As a regular employee you are eligible to earn leave and other NAF Benefits.

An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 05/20/2025 Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, Spouse/Widow/Parent of Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Knowledge of business operations policies, procedures, methods, and publicity techniques within one or more of the following areas: military recreation; morale, welfare, and recreation business operations; and/or community wide event planning to evaluate strengths or weaknesses and develop/revise programs to meet goals and promote patronage. Skill in written and oral communication techniques to explain, justify, and present ideas and findings on a variety of issues. Ability to make decisions and work effectively under the pressure of timelines and rigid deadlines. Knowledge of accounting and budgeting procedures in order to prepare, monitor variances, and revise budgets. Must possess skill in dealing with customer and the public. Experience using Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Bachelor's degree in recreational leadership, parks and recreation management, leisure related field is highly desirable. Valid vehicle operator's license is required.
