This position will be assigned to the JBSA Fort Sam Houston Marketing Office located in San Antonio, TX. This is a regular part-time category position with guaranteed 20 hours per week. May work up to 40 hrs./wk. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.

Qualifying Experience: Must have responsible experience of marketing/advertising principles and practices. Must have experience in typing and computer based word processing (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Graphics/Publishing software (lnDesign, Photo Shop, Illustrator, etc.). Experience must demonstrate how to perform research, select, arrange and compose material and maintain well-organized files. Applicant must have experience in typing and computer based word processing (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Graphics/Publishing software (lnDesign, Photo Shop, Illustrator, etc.). Must have specialized experience which demonstrates the ability to design and layout advertising copy and artwork using desk top publishing software, word processing and other software. Must have experience developing, conducting and analyzing market research information specialized experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, communications, news media, public relations or a related field is strongly desired. 2. Knowledge of merchandising and marketing policies, procedures, methods, and publicity techniques to evaluate strengths or weaknesses, and to develop new or alter existing programs to meet desired goals and promote patronage. 3. Skill in written and oral communication techniques to explain, justify and present ideas and findings of a variety of issues in a logical manner and prepare presentations and analysis in a clear and concise manner using a high degree of tact and diplomacy. 4. Ability to perform research, select, arrange and compose material and maintain well-organized files. 5. Knowledge of marketing/advertising principles and practices 6. Skills in typing and computer bused word processing (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Graphics/Publishing software (lnDesign, Photo Shop, Illustrator, etc.) 7. Ability to read, write and speak English. 8.
