MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Experience in conducting substantive Federal sector administrative and/or procurement fraud related investigations involving violations of law, rule, or regulation (for example, experience in applying Federal statutory and regulatory standards pertinent to the conduct of fraud-related investigations or reviews); knowledge of federal sector investigative methods and procedures. 2. Experience preparing comprehensive narrative reports of investigation documenting facts collected and documents reviewed. 3. Experience in taking testimony, listening carefully and restating others' statements. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Criminology, Police Science, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus professional investigative experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals to 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: A minimum of 4 years of professional investigative experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: 1. Experience with Inspector General oversight responsibilities and functions. 2. Demonstrated proficiency with developing, preparing, and presenting informational programs - particularly related to fraud awareness and prevention; and/or planning and executing proactive investigative projects targeting fraud or similar misconduct. 3. Demonstrated skills in researching, planning, and executing contract and/or proactive identification of fraud-related projects to include ability to analyze and identify anomalies. 4. Experience researching and interpreting laws, rules, and regulations. 5. Demonstrated ability to keep proprietary or confidential information secure and respecting appropriate confidences, presenting factual information in an appropriate and helpful manner. 6. Graduation from an accredited Federal sector criminal investigations basic training program.
