Job Summary

This position is located in the Division of Resolutions and Receiverships, Resolution Strategy Branch of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of resolution and receivership activities of financial institutions and plays a role in proposing and establishing resolution strategies for failing financial institutions. Job Description

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG/GS-12 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience performing financial institution analysis contributing to the development of institution resolution strategies in one of the following areas: (1) receivership operations, (2) accounting, (3) franchise marketing, (4) asset management and marketing, (5) examinations, and/or (6) information technology.
