Basic Requirement: Individual Occupational Requirements (IOR) for the Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC), GS-2210-14 position: Your resume must have IT-related experience in the federal service or private sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined below. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND Specialized Experience: In addition to meeting the basic IOR, you must also have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal service or private sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Specialized experience must include the following: 1) Apply advanced knowledge of Information Systems (IS) and Operational Technology (OT) security principles and concepts necessary to provide expert cybersecurity guidance in accordance with policies and standards; 2) Conduct risk assessments to provide comprehensive IS recommendations to leadership; 3) Exercise independent judgment and discretion on national security systems through monitoring and auditing operational performance and the respective classified information and/or critical infrastructure; 4) Utilize delegation authority to assign work, monitor performance, provide performance critiques, mitigate conflicts and perform administrative and workforce management; and 5) Collaborate with external/internal customer to ensure IT strategic planning and project management activities improves the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks and data.
