Job Description

To qualify for this position at the GS-14 grade level, applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at or above the GS-13 grade level. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to work of the position to be filled and has equipped and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. For this position your specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Professional experience developing pipelines or applications with Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent tools in a cloud environment; Professional experience with data modeling techniques to implement data warehouses and analytical framework in columnar or lakehouse databases; Knowledge and/or training in ETL tools or processes; and Expertise in Python and SQL. In addition, you must possess IT related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (e.g., IT certification), as appropriate) demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (i.e., any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (e.g., ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (e.g., technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
