Job Description
The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. If qualifying with a degree, degree must be in a Construction or related field (for example, Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Design, Engineering, Space Planning, Urban Planning, or Interior Design) or a Business related field (for example, Economics, Marketing, Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance). ENTRY/DEVELOPMENTAL Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree and no experience. Relevant experience must be in one or more of the following: space planning and design, community/campus planning, facilities, facilities construction, construction projects, project management, economics, marketing, accounting, business administration, finance, property/space management, human resources, training, security, communications, cost estimating, building systems including envelopes, HVAC, fire protection, plumbing and finishing systems. FULL PERFORMANCE Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience, or a Journeyman License in a relevant field plus 1 additional year of relevant experience. Relevant experience must be in one or more of the following: space planning and design, community/campus planning, facilities, project management, economics, marketing, accounting, business administration, finance, property/space management, human resources, training, security, communications, or budgeting. Certification in a relevant field (e.g., electrical, mechanical, interior) may count for up to one year of experience. SENIOR Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 12 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Journeyman License in a relevant field plus 6 additional years of relevant experience, or a Master Tradesman License in a relevant field with no additional experience. Relevant experience must include two or more of the following: space planning and design, community/campus planning, facilities, project management, economics, marketing, accounting, business administration, finance, property/space management, human resources, training, security, communications, or budgeting. Leadership experience is also required. Certification in a relevant field (e.g., electrical, mechanical, interior) may count for up to one year of experience.
