Job Summary
The incumbent serves as the Chief, Engineering Division for a Department of Defense (DoD) Special Task Force (TF), responsible for an emergency preparedness program. The TF develops and implements long- range strategic concepts, policies and plans for National Security/Emergency Preparedness (NS/EP). The TF also provides infrastructure support to governmental entities to maintain essential functions during times of crisis.
Job Description
The successful candidate should have experience in the following functional areas: Program/project management; engineering, architecture/construction principles, technical and administrative functions. The selectee must operate well under pressure, be collaborative in nature, capable of multi-tasking, and be .comfortable dealing with senior leaders and government officials. The ability to portray a positive, proactive, diplomatic and professional demeanor with partners and stakeholders is critical. The successful candidate should have experience providing operational customer/client service. The selectee will demonstrate a proficiency in understanding customer requirements, meeting those requirements and communicating effectively with senior-level stakeholders. Further, the candidate must be able to relate the most complex engineering/scientific information at hand back to the customer/stakeholders in non-technical terms to aide in their ability to understand/grasp applicable concepts, etc. The successful candidate must have the specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to quickly assess a facility or multiple facilities ( or problem at hand) and rapidly form a list of requirements, through test and evaluation (T &E) ot other means, and develop and integrate solution sets from concept level up to actual build-out and field installation in the realm of matters pertaining to CBRE protection and mitigation. The successful candidate must have familiarization with facilities, operations & maintenance (O&M), and mechanical electrical, plumbing (MEP) disciplines and have the ability to generate and review complex work plans and schedules. The selected individual must demonstrate mastery in the five Defense Intelligence Senior Level (DISL) core qualifications: (1) Technical/Professional Achievements, (2) Technical/Professional Development of Others, (3) Technical/Professional Leadership/Decision Making, (4) Continued Technical/Professional Development, and (5) Leading the Intelligence Enterprise.
